The Pogues and Kooks are shaking things up on this go around of Outer Banks.
Madison Bailey—who plays Kiara "Kie" Carrera on the hit Netflix series—revealed that fans can expect to see characters having new scene partners in the show's upcoming fourth installment.
"Characters that don't always have scenes together, have scenes together," Madison exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker. "We have big moments with different pairings than you're used to seeing."
And the 25-year-old shared other details about the forthcoming batch of episodes, which kick off with friends Kiara, JJ (played by Rudy Pankow), John B (Chase Stokes), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), Cleo (Carlacia Grant) and Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline) returning from the City of Gold after discovering Blackbeard's treasure in the season three finale.
In fact, now that the Pogues found their riches and are back on the island, Madison shared that the crew of misfits will return to being (somewhat) normal teenagers.
"Part of the love for the show is the season one camaraderie and fun," the actress said. "Just the most regular conversations that people really enjoy seeing—we get a good bit of that this season."
Of course, action and adventure also play a huge role in the success of Outer Banks, and her costar Madelyn insisted that there will be plenty of those elements to go around on the island as well. As she explained to E!, "I'm very excited this year for our audience to see the very intense situation that the Pogues get into this time."
"Every single season, we get the scripts and we read through and we're like, 'Oh my god, how are we gonna shoot that?'" Madelyn continued. "And even though sometimes they're not always the most fun to shoot, they always end up really great and exciting to watch."
But that's not all that draws fans in year after year, according to the Knives Out actress. Another key factor? The cast's on-and-offscreen chemistry.
"The chemistry, from day one, we knew was special," Madelyn said, "and we've been able to replicate it on screen."
She added, "Anytime anyone talks to me about what their favorite part of the show is, it's always the chemistry and the friendship arcs and the way that they're able to relate a certain person in their friend group to one of the characters."
The first part of Outer Banks season four arrives on Netflix Oct. 10, with the second part following Nov. 7. While you wait, check out all the other series that hit TV screens this year.
